Each group of four students builds a model amusement park ride - roller coaster, freefall, bungee jump, the twirly swing ride, or the pirate ship. We learn about energy transformations, circular motion, and Newton's Laws. And on the last day of school, we go to a small amusement park a 45 minute drive from here.<br /><br />My 10th grade engineering class just finished building Rube Goldberg machines. We still have over a month of school here in New England, so we are just about to start a short unit on binary code. During our last month, we build a robot (from a kit) and use binary to program it.
