My Literacy Cycle.

Recently, a lot of curious people have asked me how I approach my literacy programme in my classroom. I have created the following slide show to explain the cycle.

It is important to note that many of my students are from the lower socio-economic backgrounds and they only speak their mother tongue at home. This has impacted teacher like me to teach in small groups.

While I am carrying out my micro-teaching, the other students are engaged in meaningful literacy activities which I will explain in my next post.

I'm sure you make this look easier than it is, but I think I'll try it with a small group of reluctant writers I have. Thanks for sharing with us.

I was really impressed with this cycle when I saw it in your website, but was unsure how to put it into practice. As IT coordinator I work with classes and teachers on specific IT projects, so thought I would try to implement the literacy cycle into the training. Thanks for such a great step by step example!

I like the clear illustration of the literacy cycle - Makes a lot more sense to me now.
